On Wednesday 18th December 2022 and Thursday 5th January 2023 during the winter break, there was an online program with students from the New Mongol Academy, in which there is a Yamagata University satellite office, with the purpose of getting to know more about normal college life of students here.
In the first session, students from Yamagata University and New Mongol Academy talked about general things such as their school, daily life and interests. In the second session, students talked about their respective New Year celebrations and more details about their daily lives. In both sessions, students had time to break into smaller groups and talk more freely. Under the tutelage of Ms. Ayako Nakamura, a Japanese teacher at the satellite office in New Mongol Academy, students were able to share fluently in Japanese about various things such as their favourite places in Mongolia, and how they are studying hard in order to get into university.
