Are you interested in English but have little chance to speak it?
Do you want to learn about other countries and cultures, or even travel abroad?
Do you want to make new friends?
Then English Lunch Chat is the place for you!
What is English Lunch Chat?
English Lunch Chat is a time where Japanese students and international students and English professors can speak casually in a relaxed environment – in English, of course!
In this time, students can speak about the topics of the day or just chat freely. Come and meet new people while building up your speaking skills!
When and where is it?
It is held from 12:10 to 13:00 at the International Lounge on the 1st floor of Building 9 every week.
The days it will be held may change each semester, but are announced on the posters around the university and on our homepage, so please check them!
Can I get credits for it?
Yes, you can!
If you register for Daily English Conversation on CampusSquare, and you fulfil the requirements, you can get 1 credit.
The requirements are:
- You must attend at least 15 times
- Each time, you should stay for at least 30 minutes
- You need to give a 20-minute presentation
Your grade will use the above requirements as well as your participation when you come. Your English level is not used, so don’t worry and speak a lot!
Do I have to register to join English Lunch Chat?
No, you don’t!
You can come to just chat freely. The above requirements are only if you want to get 1 credit.
If you want to register for it as a class, please add “Daily English Conversation A” (first semester) or “Daily English Conversation B” (second semester) on WebClass and remember to register it on CampusSquare.
Please come join us 🙂
