We held meetings for undergraduate international students on June 16th and for graduate international students on June 18th to get together and talk about the latest situation. Due to the coronavirus infection, all classes this semester have been held online, so there has been no chance to meet with other students.
International students participated in person and online. Some of the international students who participated in Zoom have been unable to enter Japan yet, so they participated from their home countries. Students were divided into groups and exchanged information while sharing photos about the recent situation. Various topics were discussed including part-time jobs, job hunting status, online classes, etc. Difficulties and student requests were also discussed.
Though short, it was a very meaningful chance to learn about each other’s lives during this situation. It was also a valuable opportunity for staff members to lean about the current lives of international students.
