On October 21st, (Friday), fifteen students from KMITL (King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang) of Thailand (with whom YU has an inter-university agreement) were welcomed and introduced to the JST Sakura Science Online Program. The day started with greetings from representatives from both YU and KMITL, and introductions by the student participants themselves. This was followed by a lecture from a professor about the Graduate School of Organic Materials Science, and a student exchange event organized by YUICY. Students from both YU and KMITL talked about their respective universities and cultures, and ended the night with a fun quiz game.
This JST Sakura Science Online Program will continue once weekly for a total of five times through November 19th.
This activity is being carried out with the support of the Japan Science and Technology (JST) Agency’s 2021 International Youth Science Exchange Program (Sakura Science Program).
