（2023.8.26）Chinese students attended the Yonezawa City Japan-China Friendship Association 30th Anniversary Event

On Saturday 26 August, the Yonezawa City Japan-China Friendship Association hosted the “Erhu Concert” at the Uesugi Joshien as part of the celebrations to commemorate the 30th year since its establishment. Four Faculty of Engineering international students from China attended the event. At the erhu concert, a number of songs, from familiar Chinese favourites to popular Japanese melodies, were performed and as the international students listened to the elegant music, they occasionally hummed along.
After the concert, Yamagata University graduate students gave speeches, talking about their memories of when they were studying here as international students to now, expressing their thoughts as members of the society. They spoke in Japanese that has improved much since their university days, evidence of their efforts.
