From 23rd of October to 29th October 2023, nine undergraduate students and one accompanying professor from the New Mongol Institute of Technology, New Mongol Academy visited us here at the Yamagata University Faculty of Engineering for the JST Sakura Science Program.
The theme of the program this time can be roughly translated as “Soft & Wet – Learn the Possibilities of Soft 3D”. During the program, the Mongolian students studied under Professor Hidemitsu Furukawa, whose area of expertise is Mechanical System Engineering, learning the basics of Soft & Wet Matter Engineering. In the research laboratory, Mongolian students interacted with graduate school students, learning how to use the soft 3D printer and thinking up new possibilities using this technology.
