The students engaged in various activities surrounding the theme of this year,“Next Generation Robots for a Human-Robot Coexistent Future Society”.  The participants took lectures and visited laboratories here at Yamagata University to experience hands-on research.  On August 25th (Sat), the participants experienced Japanese culture.  They visited Uesugi shrine and had a tea ceremony
experience wearing Yukatas.  Surrounded by nature, the participants discussed about “Next Generation Robotics” while staying at Mt. Zao, before giving group poster presentations in English.  At the group poster presentations, all the participants worked hard to present their ideas.
During the course of this program, most Japanese students started to communicate their ideas in English without hesitation, showing the great success of this program.
Finally, we would like to express our deep gratitude to the Yonezawa Alumni Association of Yamagata University, Yamagata University Faculty of Engineering Supporters Association and all of the other people supporting this program.
